Jubilee Day’s 5K Run/Walk for Coalition for Healthy Communities

Jubilee Day’s 5K Run/Walk on August 31, 2013 at 8:00am is the fourth race of the ZB Run Squad 2013 5K Series. All races are held at Zion Park District, 2400 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion. Each race supports local organizations within our community by enhancing services for the residents in Benton and Zion Township. Proceeds from Jubilee Day’s Run/Walk will support the Zion Park District Foundation, which funds scholarships for underprivileged children to give them the opportunity to participate in Zion Park District programs.

The 34th annual Jubilee Days 5K Run will be “far out” fun for the whole family. These goodie bags are a “blast from the past” and include all the groovy things participants may remember if they ran in the first race. The first 200 registered runners receive peace necklaces, smiley face rings, light timer, gift certificates, pace your race chart and scrap book page borders.  Runners also receive trophies and medals, cool tie dyed t-shirts, yummy fresh fruit and ice cream with all the toppings for a refreshing treat.  Each runner is automatically entered into a raffle with prizes such as Shepherd’s and Shiloh Golf foursome packages, gift baskets, etc.  Save $5 on early bird registration through 8/17. Beat the morning race rush by joining us August 29 from 12pm-7pm at Zion Farmers Market, Sheridan Road & Shiloh Blvd, Zion, for early packet pick up. Jubilee Day’s Run starts Saturday promptly at 8am. Visit zbrun.org for more information or to register online. You may also register at the Zion Park District. Can’t wait to see you there!
